private and homeschool curriculum. It goes up against traditions of silence and misinformation. And I love it. Women’s Health Foundation has produced a lovely, age appropriate book for young girls. This book is written to dispel myths, quiet fears and generate conversations. And it is a success. It is written to teach the truth about pelvic health for girls. Below Your Belt covers peeing, pooping, periods and exercise. It addresses how great it is to be female. No shame, just honest discussion and cleverly delivered information. As a pelvic health physical therapist I am particular about the information surrounding bowel, bladder and pelvic muscle function. I look forward to sharing this book in our clinic library and recommending it to patients, friends and family." — Sandra Hilton, PT, DPT, MS, co-author of Why Pelvic Pain Hurts |
